What this actually is
This is a volunteer company.
Most of us have full-time jobs. We show up when we can.

We'll train you, get you outfitted, and put you in a position to help.

Staying active usually means around 20% of calls and about half of the monthly meetings.
Why being close matters
When a call comes in, time matters.
If you're within a few minutes of the station, you can actually make the truck. That's what makes the difference.
